This is probably the earliest Leslie 16 in serial number that is known. PLEASE READ ALL OF THE BELOW. It has a JBL speaker in it.
Vintage JBL L101 Lancer Pair Speakers C56 Dorian A pair of very desirable vintage JBL L101WX speakers, serial numbers 51509 and 51512, dating from the very early 1970's. The label on the back refers to Model C56 Dorian, but I believe that refers more to the speaker housing (with solid marble tops!) than the speakers themselves. The original warranty, which I can't find at the moment, calls them the L101 Lancer. These are the original JBL speakers which contain the famous JBL horn speaker and the 14' woofer. When I last used them, a few years ago, they sounded great. I have had them in storage for the past three years. The cream colored marble tops are in very good condition, with no cracks. The front grills are in good condition, with a few scratches. The wooden sides are in only fair condition, with a number of scratches, stains, chips and, on one panel, six 1/4' diameter holes drilled in them. They are very, very heavy, about 75 pounds each.
