The first step you need :
- Latest version of Dolphin, mine is 4.0-6820
- Original ISO Mario Kart Wii or Wii Dump
- Wiimmfi Patcher + Wiimmfi Unbanner
1 - Download wiimfi patcher, direct link download http://download.wiimm.de/wiimmfi/patcher/mkw-wiimmfi-patcher-v3.7z
2 - Extract on your desktop, you have folder name mkw-wiimmfi-patcher-v3
3 - Take the Mario Kart Wii ISO and slip it into the root of mkw wiimmfi-v3-patcher-file
4 - Open the .bat file one file named 'patch-wiimmfi.bat' open it, now you need to wait compressed file
5 - Now a new folder is here 'wiimmfi-images' open it and you found your ISO Mario Kart Wii
6 - Split your patched ISO-wiimmfi MKWII to folder named 'Roms' (if you don't have Roms is normal is my custom server from destination games on Dolphin choose your folder directoly ISO)
7 - Open Wiimmfi Unbanner software now, you need split the software to Dolphin folder and open and CMD appear
8 - Open Dolphin and launch Mario Kart Wii, go on Multiplayer CWF Wiimmfi if you have error report and look code

So the Mario Kart Wii modding community has produced a lot of cool new content but most of the guides online to add custom tracks and custom characters are for using on a real Wii and not on Dolphin, so here is a quick tutorial on how to add custom characters to your Mario Kart Wii iso so you can play it on PC using Dolphin:
First I recommend to patch your iso with Wiims custom tracks from here, so you'll have access to over 260 custom tracks: http://wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Wiimms_Mario_Kart_Fun

Use the most recent version by date.
After that you need to extract your Mario Kart Wii iso files, open Dolphin and right click on MKW, click properties then click on the filesystem tab and right click the first item on the list, usually named disc. Click 'extract entire disc' and extract all the files to a new folder you created prior.

Now go to the Custom Mario Kart wiki and choose a custom character of your liking, I'll use this one for the tutorial: http://wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Mega_Man_(DJ_Lowgey)
You'll need this tool to replace some of the files too: https://github.com/libertyernie/brawltools/releases
Once you downloaded the custom character files, extract the zip and copy the files inside the allkart folder named ca-allkart.szs and ca-allkart_BT.szs to data/files/scene/model/kart of your Mario Kart Wii extracted iso files and replace the existing ones.
Copy now all the files inside the vehicles folder to your extracted iso files inside data/files/race/kart and replace the existing ones too.
Now in your iso files go to data/files/demo and open the file called Award.szs using the tool linked above Brawlbox, once opened go to the file inside called ca.brres, right click it, select replace and replace it with the file of the same name inside the award folder of the customs character files.
Next go to data/files/scene/model and open driver.szs using Brawlbox too and do the same, look for the file ca.brres and replace it with the file of the same name inside the driver folder of the custom characters files.
To add your custom icons go to your iso files data/files/scene/ui and open the files there with brawlbox, you can replace the images there the same way as described above, the most important are award.sza and race.szs.
To add the custom sounds open the file with brawlbox called revo_kart.brsar inside data/files/sound/ of your iso files and replace the sounds, the folder VO inside the brsar file is the one with all the character voices.
